Welcome to the homepage for the restructuring of Sonoma State University's academic departments and schools. In this project departments are partnering to form thematic schools each led by a Chair. These schools will then cluster to form four colleges each led by a Dean. Exploration of possible models, using guidelines provided in a July 21, 2023 memo, began with a department chairs and deans retreat August 8, 2023. Jennifer Lillig, Associate Dean of Academic Programs, is serving as the project lead to implement the new academic structure after final decisions are made. This structure is expected to be live on July 1, 2024.
