Faculty Affairs and Success

The Office of Faculty Affairs and Success supports faculty and academic student employees. We are here to help faculty from the moment of hire to the granting of emeritus status or retirement, including administering faculty human resource functions.  We welcome your questions and feedback and are here to serve the university community.

Faculty Affairs and Success implements the California Bargaining Agreement for Unit 3 Faculty and Unit 11 Academic Student Employees. It handles faculty recruitment, lecturer and volunteer appointments, reappointment, promotion, tenure, leaves, and related faculty personnel functions. In addition, the office provides training for department chairs, support for RTP committees and faculty hiring committees, and guidance on the collective bargaining agreements. The office is also the location of the official faculty Personnel Action Files.
