Credit Hour Policy Confirmation

To ensure compliance with the SSU Credit Hour Policy, the following processes will take place:

1. New and revised courses submitted through Curriculog will include syllabi that will be checked by Academic Programs and the Educational Policies Committee for credit hour compliance with scheduling patterns and course workload. Non-compliant syllabi will be revised and compliance will be recorded in Curriculog. 
2. Each summer, 20 syllabi will be randomly selected from the Syllabus Library and examined for policy compliance. Data from the reviews will be kept in a spreadsheet in the Syllabus Library. Results will be shared with Deans and the Educational Policies Committee to support improvement when necessary.
3. Semester course schedules will be reviewed by Department Chairs and Deans to ensure consistency with the policy.
