Academic Affairs builds on the work of our community in prior years while advancing new priorities in response to the university’s evolving needs. The selected initiatives below provide historical context and background for our current work.
Academic Master Plan
The Academic Master Plan (AMP) was a visioning and decision-making process grounded in the University’s mission, strategic priorities, and core values. It was intended to reflect Sonoma State’s academic identity and provide a framework for aligning resources with the academic mission.

Graduation Initiative 2025
One of 23 universities in the California State University (CSU) system, Sonoma State University is proud to fulfill CSU’s ambitious initiative “Graduation Initiative 2025”, aimed at increasing graduation rates for all CSU students while eliminating equity gaps.
