Curriculog

Curriculog is SSU’s online curriculum management system used for all curricular proposals. This self-contained platform allows the curriculum approval process to take place entirely online. 

Once proposals receive final approval and are complete, curriculum changes will be migrated into Acalog, SSU's online catalog platform, for subsequent inclusion in the catalog. Users are able to run an impact report for courses which list all dependent elements for a particular item such as prerequisites, corequisites, crosslistings and programs.

Secure access is tied to your SSU ID and password, and submitting decisions within the system takes the place of your signature.

What are the key features?

Curriculog creates the ability to:

  • Collaborate. This is designed for shared development and review of curriculum.
  • Track the real-time progress of proposals. You never have to wonder what happened to your paperwork. Decisions, comments, and committee votes are recorded at each level of approval.
  • Coordination: See what’s being proposed by other departments and offer comments or suggestions.

What happens after I submit my proposal?

Once proposals are submitted, they are routed through approvals which include the department chair, dean, curriculum committees, Academic Programs, EPC, GE and Graduate Studies subcommittees (as appropriate) and Academic Senate. Once they receive final approval, Academic Programs will export the course/program additions or updates into Acalog, our online catalog platform.
