Dear Campus Community,
I am excited to announce that Dr. Elisabeth Wade has accepted the position of Dean of Science and Technology at Sonoma State University. Dr. Wade currently serves as the Associate Provost for Curriculum and Academic Resources at Mills College, where she has been on the faculty for 20 years. She earned her Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, and has a distinguished research record in spectroscopy. Dr. Wade is a dedicated teacher-scholar who brings a passion for inclusive excellence in STEM education to her work.
I would like to thank the members of the search committee for their service: Rob Eyler (chair), Megan D’Errico, Scott Severson, Derek Girman, Martha Shott, Stephanie Thibault, and Noelia Brambila.
Dr. Wade will join Sonoma State on July 1. Please join me in welcoming her to campus and also in thanking Dean Lynn Stauffer for her decade of incredible service to SSU as Dean of Science and Technology.
